Community Hope Agency for Rural Development (CHARD) is a non-profit making National Organizationin South Sudan. It was established in 2014 to facilitate humanitarian and development to conflict-affected and poorest communities in South Sudan. It was formerly working voluntary as Community Based organization (CBO) in 2014 – 2016 implementing the work of some INGOs in-kind through the GOVERNMENT.

CHARD is legally registered in South Sudan as national Humanitarian and Development Community organization established with the Ministry of Justice and constitutional affairs and Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (Registration Number 2433).

CHARD is governed by Board of Directors (BOD) composed of five (5) members and includes: Chairperson, D/Chairperson, Secretary General and two members. This body is to ensure the implementation of the objectives and functions of the organization by Executive committee. It’s also responsible for policy formulation as well as strategic fundraising for the organization.
At operational level, CHARD has executive Director that oversees the entire operations at field level.
